PART I
I’m writing this for all women but especially the women who may think dressing younger will make them look younger. If that’s the case, your big question for 2022 is Do you want to look younger or better?
None of us is silly enough to imagine we’re going to look 18 again, or even 35, no matter what we do to ourselves.
We happily work at looking younger which can be difficult and so often fails to deliver on the outcome we want. Isn’t it better to look better?
While you’re busy working on making yourself look better, you’ll also start to look younger … as far as I can tell, that makes it a Win-Win.
How do you make yourself look better?
Get your teeth whitened … very very much better …
Not too much. Subtlety is the key… you want to look 10 years younger not blind everyone.
Have you noticed how weird elderly people with blinding white teeth look? Come to that, anyone with blinding white teeth because nobody has teeth that white naturally …
Sort your shoes!
For reasons known to nobody, not even themselves, women often become vague around shoe trends as they approach their fifties and over.
But age is no excuse for consigning yourself and your style to a footnote of history by wearing grumpy granny shoes with hideous kitten heels. Flat shoes now are so cool and sleek and super there’s something fashionable for every foot. Get out there and splurge …
Stray greys or a head full of them? Embrace them … different is better.
A head of grey can be cultivated (your choice) but get rid of the beard and moustache. These will appear at some point so have a system in place … pay special attention to eyebrows!
Facial hair removal will always, without fail, make you look better … and younger. It’s a great exfoliant.

Over-stuffed tatty bags are so not better
It has been said, by someone I’ve never heard of, that women born near the end or just after the end of WWII (babyboomers methinks) are uncomfortable if they shell out on a fabulous bag. Really?
A bag, like your smile, is one of your best accessories so banish thoughts of frugality and buy something which is from an animal welfare supplier. Get a classic and will it to your daughter.
You can never go wrong with a Tote!
Overdone hair will never look better
Face it … as hair becomes drier and coarser it’s best to abandon outdated zhuzhing. Truly, Less is More is the only way to go.
Get a great cut; it looks so much better. If your hair is long, try not to re-create the look of your teens … it just doesn’t work and hanging hair does not make you look better. Or younger.
