Take Control of Your Diet to Age Younger
If you’re a not-getting-any-younger woman, you’re told to keep weight off and exercise more … the message is take control of your diet sooner rather than later, for the sake of your weight and your health too, and because of the aging process, it’s probably time to start adding a supplement or three!
A good diet isn’t just about weight management.
It’s about eating the right foods to help you fight off free radicals … often responsible for an increase in the speed at which you age. It’s important to take control of your diet by eating the right foods and taking the right supplements …
Aging causes a drop in the levels of many of the body’s basic requirements
This means you must get plenty of antioxidants. A diet rich in antioxidants will prevent free-radical damage. So enjoy a glass of red wine (just one!) and eat lots of berries (especially blueberries). Chocolate works too; in moderation!
Supplementation can be key as you age
Supplement with
□ vitamin C … a real, organic, non-GMO product such as Garden of Life Vitamin C – Vegan, 120 Capsules– Whole Food Supplement, Vegan
□ Co-enzyme Q10 … an excellent whole food supplement such as BioEmblem CoQ10 00mg Softgels, 90 Count with BioPerine Natural Form, Non-GMO Superior Absorption. Or why not try or you can try Ubiquinol; Jarrow Formulas Ubiquinol QH-Absorb
CoQ10 (Ubiquinol) is your armour against heart disease
It’s also good for your brain! In fact, it’s wonderful for your cardiovascular system overall. If you’re taking statin drugs (often used for controlling cholesterol), you need to take CoQ10 because statins will affect the levels of this amazing enzyme in your body, as will the aging process. If you want to know more, read about it here.
A high CoQ10 level and a low homocysteine level are excellent things to have as we move into the aging process..
Have your bloods done
Your doctor should do blood tests for cholesterol and triglyceride levels. A full blood count (CBC), and a full chemistry panel.
Talk through the results with your doctor and make sure he explains properly … so you understand the results. If he recommends Statins, ask about CoQ10. He will have to agree that you should take it!
