Before I launch into this topic, I’m going to apologise for using the expression Women of a Certain Age. It always seems very patronising to me. We don’t affix a moniker to men of a certain age, even if they do have changeable body shapes, so why should women be singled out?!
We live in a world that seems to glorify youth above all else, and the art (art?) of being famous. Really, it’s high time to celebrate the beauty of women 55PLUS and beyond.
You may know some or many of these remarkable women who are not merely growing older; they are aging with a flair that’s both inspiring and infectious.
So, grab your cup of tea or coffee or a restorative G&T (no judgment here, we’re all about that British charm), and let’s dive into the art of aging well and happily.

Fabrics have changed so much over the years we find ourselves in a world of chaos, not knowing what to wear that’s ecologically sound and what’s sustainable and what looks good!
We all know that Sales are held to make you buy things you didn’t know you wanted and probably don’t. But find me someone who can resist a Sale which includes items with amazing prices?
Dressing to suit your body shape is one thing, but finding the bag that fits the whole picture is another. Like your clothes, your bags require careful consideration and the only bags that will change your life are the ones you use every day. Having said that (and I’m hoping I didn’t rain on your parade), the most important thing to understand is that whatever your shape, the bag is about creating balance.
There is probably a good deal of non-PC in this blog, which is in 3 parts … I make no apologies. It is what it is … read it and weep or read it and get the outcome you wanted.
Is there really anybody who thinks women’s pants or trousers, even jeans are age inappropriate for women of any age? I don’t think so!
We hear so much about dressing your age and dressing age appropriately, often from people who look 12, you really have to wonder who made the decision that women over 50 (and then some), must follow silly ‘rules’? Why? Are we really unable to make our own decisions about how we look? Have we lost our Mojo?
