Friends: Don’t be upset when the lines blur.
This article has been prompted by people I have always thought of as friends and who aren’t. I would love to hear your views on this. I find it quite distressing! Sometimes.

I have learned this is a very vexing question which can create huge emotional swings in people. If you’re a woman who is 55Plus, a very specific demographic, do you want to be called A certain age? Senior? Elderly? Crone? Or perhaps a Sage or any one of perceptive, thoughtful, wise or even, my all-time favourite, perspicacious? Whatever … what do you choose as your label?
Your self-belief is one of your greatest assets, whether in business or home life or relationships, or anything in your world.
Self-belief is the way you feel about yourself regardless of your achievements and anything else you feel confident about. If you have a struggle believing in yourself, and especially if you’re a 55Plus woman, it’s time to find the reasons why and change the status quo.
Let’s talk about fabrics …
Fabrics have changed so much over the years we find ourselves in a world of chaos, not knowing what to wear that’s ecologically sound and what’s sustainable and what looks good!
We all know that Sales are held to make you buy things you didn’t know you wanted and probably don’t. But find me someone who can resist a Sale which includes items with amazing prices?
An aware woman in the 55Plus bracket. If that’s you, I’m wondering if you will be sweet and kind enough (I know you will!) to answer a few questions for me? Please?!
Have you noticed how many courses there are about writing blogs? Most of them extol the virtues of blogging (of course they do … they want you to buy the course!) and give you 5 ways (or 7 or 10 or whatever) to monetise what you write.
I’ve been writing blogs for over 10 years and have never ever made 6 figures in one month and these lovely creatures do just that … 6 figures … constantly … from their blogs! I’m obviously doing it wrong …
I’m going to start by saying sweats, flushes, flashes, whatever you want to call these side-effects of menopause can last through to your 80s. You didn’t want to hear that, but it’s true. At 73 I still have hot flushes and they’re almost as bad now as back in my 50s.
It seems to me that one of our major problems today is that we take ourselves too seriously. Particularly when it comes to calories and the counting thereof …
As women who will never see 55 again, we’re more than aware that we have to be careful about what we say and do for fear of giving offence. To somebody. Somewhere. Which appears to have led to a loss of humour in everyday life.
Dressing to suit your body shape is one thing, but finding the bag that fits the whole picture is another. Like your clothes, your bags require careful consideration and the only bags that will change your life are the ones you use every day. Having said that (and I’m hoping I didn’t rain on your parade), the most important thing to understand is that whatever your shape, the bag is about creating balance.
