The Invisible Woman
How many women do you know who feel, or have felt, invisible when they reached their magic fifties. How many felt as though they were in a Harry Potter story wearing a Cloak of Invisibility?

This is a relatively short list and is, as you would expect, to do with aging. Or not aging. Or at least slowing the process. It is a list of 10 attitudes or thought (mindfulness) processes we can use to de-stress.
Well, here we are, it’s almost Christmas and here in the UK we’re back in the realm of masks, social distancing and everything else. Although we don’t have to go into lockdown which is a huge relief! Especially as some of us (that would be me!) are still trying to differentiate between the old normal and the new normal … Do we want it or is it something we just have to have? Keeping a journal about our beauty products isn’t something we think about doing. Not for skin care or makeup. I have certainly never done so but in review it seems to be a good idea. No more buying something that gives you a rash … you’d forgotten about that hadn’t you?!
I don’t know how you feel about the way things look at Christmas but for me, and the rest of my family, the décor and table look were paramount in the preparations for The Big Day. Strange how things magically appear in life at the right time … sometimes! Just the other day I found a variety of materials on the topic of The Magic of Aging. I was having one of those days, feeling particularly un-magical having fallen up the stairs the previous night; I was licking my wounds and wondering how I managed to fall up the stairs. Anyway, it got me thinking and it’s true; there are so many things about aging that are truly magical.
If you’re over 60, you probably know all this that’s written here; if you’re nowhere near 60, ditto! Whether you believe it, or apply it is another matter, but it’s key to remember … to quit can be as hard as to start.
There’s a plethora of unhappiness in the world today. Or is it a plethora of disappointed people who don’t have what they want or think they deserve, which is to feel happier.
