Clean Your Makeup Brushes for a Flawless Look
If you can’t remember when you last cleaned your makeup brushes and sponges, then now might be a good time to give them a bit of a spring clean.

How often have you heard Less is More when it comes to makeup? Especially when talking about women who are no longer in the first, or even second flush of youth. We hear it all the time, but we never think it applies to us! No-no no no … But we certainly know when somebody else is wearing too much make-up!
As we grow older we seem to require less sleep; we think so and everyone else does too! Is it true or is it yet another Urban Myth? Amongst researchers and the medical fraternity, the general consensus seems to be that we do not require less sleep, but are no longer able to have loooong sleep-filled nights … the good old 8 hours straight is a thing of the past.
Throughout lockdown we were itching to get out and go shopping. A trip down the local high street or a meet up in the local shopping mall … whatever your desire it just wasn’t going to happen. And it didn’t.
You know, I frequently find all things PC to be too OTT and I’m not alone. but occasionally I wonder if it’s due to my age. I have now decided it has nothing to do with my age because so many girls think the same way. Perhaps it’s something to do with being female? Am I allowed to say female?!

Our hands say a lot about our age. Look at the gorgeous women over 70 we all admire so much (Jane Fonda and Helen Mirren, Julies Andrews, Maggie Smith …) all well over 70 and with not so great hands any more! It happens to us all … we suddenly notice we have age spots and /or are showing signs of arthritis.
Who remembers “blue and green should never be seen”? This is a “rule” with longevity because most people like having guidance on how to dress and many of us are fixated with the idea of having our colours done.
“A woman who doesn’t wear perfume has no future”. Only Coco Chanel would say that … and she did. I’m inclined to agree with her. Surely wearing perfume is as important as wearing underwear … you’re not properly dressed without it … Marilyn Monroe was famous for wearing nothing but Chanel No5 in bed
