None of us realises, until we reach a certain age (no, not that certain age), how old our mothers are which has nothing to do with their actual age. Just as we fail to realise, how they are ageing; we’re often caught by surprise when we realise that our mum has suddenly become a little less positive in all she does.
There is probably a good deal of non-PC in this blog, which is in 3 parts … I make no apologies. It is what it is … read it and weep or read it and get the outcome you wanted.
I have always loved to write … and read! As a child, getting me to take my nose out of a book, or stop scribbling stories on pieces of paper, was a thankless task. Especially as some of us (that would be me!) are still trying to differentiate between the old normal and the new normal … Do we want it or is it something we just have to have? I think the answer is YES …
In today’s culture we seem to be constantly inundated with anti-aging advice, along with ideas on how to stop the aging process. Let’s be clear about this … you cannot stop aging. You can slow it down, but that’s as good as it gets.
